My favorite "oldie" would have to be Torn by Natalie Imbruglia. I like this song because this would have to be one of my first memory of enjoying music. It brings back great memories as a little girl.

My favorite sound recording of 2014 would have to be the Lido Remix to Disclosure's original song Latch. I already love the original House version of Latch. However, I love the mellow beat to this Love Trap version as well. I love remixes because artist always put their own creative input to an original song that doesn't make it "better," it just may fit your personal taste in music better. I originally heard this version on Soundcloud.com.

I like both songs! I guess we share a similar music taste on a certain level. Love the original version of "Latch" too and I recommend another version of "Latch": https://soundcloud.com/scottmelker/latch-the-melker-project-remix . I like the piano cover of "Latch".
ReplyDeleteNice choices.

ReplyDeleteI also appreciate how remixes can transform a song to my liking, especially when it converts into something dance able.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin showed me that remix to "Latch" as well and I really liked it. I also agree with what you said about remixes and how they don't make a song better rather they put their own spin into the original song
